PATRIZIO BUANNE

Friday, May 15th 8:00pm at
The Keswick Theatre in Glenside PA
Since the release of his debut album, ”The Italian” in 2005, and his 2006 follow-up album “Forever Begins Tonight”, Patrizio Buanne has had impressive success across the globe.
Patrizio found himself the right team to record his vision and dream on (2) CD’s with the world's finest musicians (The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra), in one of the most respected recording studios (Abbey Road), and after being signed and released by the biggest record company in the world (Universal Records) he has sold over one million albums worldwide which left a particular impression in the UK, Asia, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. Outstanding sales that now take the albums in some of the mentioned countries to Triple Platinum status, resulting in sold-out tours that included unforgettable nights at the Sydney Opera House, the Explanative in Singapore, the Kennedy Centre in Washington and The Lincoln Centre in New York. He has also performed for such luminaries as the Pope, The Royal Family and the President Of The U nited States.
Patrizio has been called “the voice of romance” but his creamy baritone voice, seductive phrasing and onstage persona says a whole lot more.
Basically, he has taken an essence from his all-time favorite entertainers and re-invented that tradition. A new-school Crooning Entertainer. Or simply call it: PATRIZIO
He is only in his late twenties but his stage experience is that of an old soul professional who knows how to reunite three generations into one show. Once described as 'the dark suited Lothario who arrived on stage in an Estrogen-charged atmosphere like a match being dropped into a box of fireworks', there is no doubt that Patrizio Buanne has it. Charisma.
In fact, due to the great response and demand in the US market, Patrizio is spending a great deal of time in the US working on a new PBS special and, of course, a new CD. What is it that makes this young man winning over more and more people worldwide? As Frank Sinatra used to say “You can only be yourself, but you can be very good at it”.

The CD, which captured six Grammys, including Album and Record Of The Year, spent five weeks at No. 1 and sold more than eight million copies in the U.S. alone. Cole's most recent work includes the release of Leavin' in 2006, a cover albums of tracks made popular by Shelby Lynne, Kate Bush, Sting, Fiona Apple and more. The Sovereign Performing Arts Center in Reading, PA

Feels Like The First Time,” “Cold As Ice,” “Urgent,” “I Want To Know What Love Is,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” “Hot Blooded,” 7 Top 5 hits, 9 Top 10s and 14 Top 20s help to define a career that has seen the sale of more than 70 million albums. Add to that countless other classics, “Say You Will,” “Jukebox Hero” and “Double Vision,” and you have a super group that has left an indelible mark on rock and roll history.
Formed in 1976, Foreigner is no stranger to meteoric global success. Since the release of their self-titled debut album, Foreigner has celebrated the success of 7 multi-platinum albums including the 6x platinum Double Vision, Foreigner 4, the 3x platinum Agent Provocateur, and Head Games; a spectacular three decade run that has assured the group a passport to superstardom, a Midas touch that has never failed them.
Foreigner's brand of a thrilling mix of blustery blues and impeccably crafted pop continues to captivate generation after generation of music fans. And the band is more powerful and explosive than ever.
“Our music has touched a lot of people worldwide,” attests Mick Jones, the band’s founder and legendary songwriter/guitarist. “Unwittingly, we've weaved into the fabric of people's lives and this new lineup is working extremely hard to live up to the high bar that was set years ago. This, is the most dynamic lineup that we’ve had since the early days,” adds Jones.
Garnering accolades from press and fans alike, Foreigner is led by founder/chief songwriter/guitarist/producer Mick Jones, lead vocalist Kelly Hansen, bassist Jeff Pilson, rhythm guitarist Tom Gimbel, keyboardist Michael Bluestein, and drummer Bryan Head.
“There are few times as a musician where you have an opportunity to play with a group of people that click so well,” explains lead vocalist Kelly Hansen. “We’re extremely fortunate that this is the case with this lineup.“
From New York City to the farthest reaches of South Africa, Foreigner continues to electrify a global fan base with their explosive live performances.
“We’ve performed hundreds of shows in dozens of countries on four continents,” marvels Hansen. “We play the songs as they should be played, even in places where Foreigner never performed, bringing with it a whole new vitality. It’s inspiring.”
In the winter of ‘07 alone, following their successful U.S. tour with Def Leppard, Foreigner’s travels took them to Scotland, Wales, South Africa, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, Finland, England, Switzerland, Hungary and Austria.
One of the band’s highlights came late last year on December 10th at London’s O2 Arena, where Foreigner took part in an incredible event performing with Atlantic Records label mates Led Zeppelin at a tribute concert honoring the late Ahmet Ertegun.
Drawing together over three decades of platinum music making, Foreigner’s audience appeal remains multi-generational. “It’s particularly gratifying to look out at our audiences to see teens and college age kids singing along,” attests Hansen. “But regardless of age, the praise coming from the fans has been unanimously positive. To see them having the fun that they’re having at our shows is what makes doing what we do worthwhile to us.”
Re-ignited interest in the band on a domestic and international level, isn’t just coming in the form of ticket sales. In fact, Foreigner’s release last year of a live DVD, Alive & Rockin’ which boosted sales of The Very Best… And Beyond, which was certified double platinum.
2008 has also been another banner year for the band, as they released No End In Sight. The album includes a brand new track called “Too Late” which has been extremely well received during their live performances, as well as being showcased on CBS TV’s “Early Show” and the top rated European TV Show, “Wetten Dass?”. Also included in the power packed compilation album, is the newly recorded version of “Say You Will,” which highlights the band’s unstoppable vocal talents. Stunning new live versions of “Starrider” and “Juke Box Hero” are also part of this very special collection.
The band’s vision for continuing to write, record and tour carries us into 2009 with the expected Summer release of a brand new album, and extensive touring in both Europe and the United States.
“I had no idea at the beginning what Foreigner would become,” said Jones. Back when we started the band, I was at a crossroads in my life, whether I was going to carry on in music or get a real job. So thirty years later, I think I made the right decision by following my true passion which is making music.”
